Ronald Steinhoff

Position title: Senior Class President


Born and raised in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, Ron is majoring in political science and Spanish in the L&S Honors program with certificates in Global Health and Leadership. He spent the last semester studying abroad in Madrid, Spain. Ron is actively involved on campus by serving as the President of the Honors Student Organization and Pi Sigma Alpha, the political science honor society. He is also on the executive board of Greek IV, a Christian organization for Greeks, as well as Bucky’s Pre-Health Volunteering Association. Last year, Ron was a Mount Vernon Leadership Fellow and spent the summer in D.C.. Additionally, he volunteers with Badger SPILL and the UW Hospital. In the future, he hopes to work in the health policy field to advocate for affordable and accessible healthcare for all people. He has already began his work in the field by interning at the Wisconsin State Legislature and as a Public Policy intern at a health insurance provider. Beyond these things, Ron thoroughly enjoys spending time with his brothers in the Chi Psi fraternity, staying active through Hoofers Ski & Snowboard club, and researching for his senior honor thesis of improving access to Wisconsin’s mental health services.
