What qualities and experiences make you the ideal candidate for this position?
I’m a strong candidate for Senior Class Officer because of my experiences in leadership, professionalism, and community involvement. I currently serve as Social Chair for the Mercile J. Lee Scholarship Program, where I plan engaging events for fellow scholars and collaborate with advisors to make the events successful. This experience has prepared me to help organize senior events and positively contribute to meaningful class traditions. Additionally, my internship at Baird strengthened my communication, teamwork, and professionalism through client-facing and administrative responsibilities. I also volunteer at my church, helping support youth activities and contributing to a welcoming community environment. This experience taught me the importance of service and teamwork, and how meaningful it is to help build community, a skill I would bring to the Senior Class Officer role. Across my work, leadership, and volunteer experiences, I’ve proven myself reliable, collaborative, and committed to creating positive experiences for others. I plan to bring that same energy to advocating for my class and making senior year memorable for all students.
If elected, what are your plans for the Senior Class Office?
I would approach this role with a focus on community, engagement, and advocacy. I want to help create a senior year experience that is memorable and meaningful by planning events that students genuinely want to participate in, while ensuring that senior voices are represented in conversations with university leadership.
