Biography

Hometown: San Jose, California

Major/Certificate(s): Health Promotion & Health Equity, Health Policy

From the redwood coast of Northern California, Katie is pursuing a Health Promotion and Health Equity major, dedicating herself to education and advocacy. She fell in love with UW–Madison’s vibrant community and “work hard, play hard” philosophy, serving as President of the American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA) and as a Peer Learning volunteer teaching physiology to fellow students. Her passion for hands-on service led her to work as an EMT and capture student life through her award-winning photojournalism for  The Badger Herald.  

As the communications chair, Katie aims to foster a deeper sense of community across the senior class, ensuring every Badger feels connected as they celebrate their final year together.
